Acai

Acai is a standout smooth-coated Chihuahua whose presence is unmistakable the moment she enters the ring. Bred and raised here at A & A's, she brings together everything we value in our program: beautiful type, undeniable intelligence, and a natural sense of confidence that shines under the lights.

A true prodigy from the start, Acai finished her Championship at just seven months, earned a Group Placement at eight months, and achieved her Grand Championship by twelve months — all with the polished ease and joyful attitude that make her unforgettable to both judges and spectators. Her movement is clean and balanced, her expression bright and feminine, and her ring presence nothing short of magnetic.

While her record speaks for itself, Acai's temperament is what makes her exceptional. She is affectionate, thoughtful, and intuitive, blending the keen mind of a working dog with the soft sweetness of a devoted companion. Acai's poise and clarity of mind carry beautifully into her offspring, who already show the same promising structure and charisma.

Acai will be bred to Patrick for her final litter of 2026. After this litter is whelped, weaned, and lovingly placed, she will be looking for her forever retirement home — a quiet sofa, a sunny window, and someone who will spoil her like the prodigy she is.

"I See What You Did There."

Read it out loud. "Acai — What You Did There." It is the joke flagging itself: "I see (acai) what you did there" — the catchphrase you say to someone whose pun has just landed.

Her registered name is the wordplay AND the response to the wordplay, folded together in a single AKC name. We named her this because she is, by every measure, that kind of girl: bright, layered, two steps ahead, and well aware that you noticed.

The acai berry — small, deeply pigmented, packed with everything that matters — is just the icing on the pun.

About Acai's health testing. Acai's full panel reflects the standard we hold every dog in our program to: Embark DNA, OFA Patellas, CERF, and OFA Basic Cardiac. Combined with her show record and her contributions as a producing dam, she carries forward exactly the kind of foundation we want in our girls.

Acai's Gets

A breeder is judged not by the dog, but by what the dog produces. These are the daughters carrying Acai's structure, her quiet brilliance, and the unmistakable type that defines her.
